  • Abstract

    The Alpha Delta Journalistic Fraternity was founded 27 December 1929 by staff members of the Augustana Observer. On 8 March 1930, the Illinois Alpha Chapter began at Augustana College. The group published a bi-annual magazine, Alpha Delt, and attended the National conventions in peoria, Illinois. Membership was based on involvement in the Observer. The Alpha Delta Journalistic Fraternity records, 1933-1935 and undated, contains documents related to the Illinois Alpha chapter, including meeting minutes and membership records.
