 Collection
Identifier: MSS 382

Scope and Contents

The David McIntyre collection on Roald Fryxell consists of one box of notes, correspondence, clippings, printed material, and photographic negatives collected by McIntyre related to Roald Fryxell’s memorial. Most of the clippings contain biographical information solicited by David and his wife Virginia Steen-McIntyre from friends, family, and colleagues of Roald Fryxell following his death. The bulk of the letters in this collection were written to the McIntyres from Roald's father, Fritioff Fryxell, in the course of preparing for and planning Roald's memorial. These letters are usually accompanied by clippings related to Roald's life. Also included in the collection are manuscript drafts of Roald Fryxell’s biography, written by McIntyre in memory of Fryxell.
