Abstract Henry Veld conducted various choral groups associated with Augustana College, including the Augustana College Choir and Handel Oratorio Society, in the mid-twentieth century. During his tenure at Augustana, Veld took the choir on annual tours where they sang in 33 of the United States, three Canadian provinces, and five European countries. The Arthur Wald Armistice Day collection contains pamphlets, articles, political cartoons and other propaganda collected by Dr. Arthur Wald, who served as Dean of the College at Augustana College and Theological Seminary from 1931 until 1947. Abstract Egon Weiner was born in 1906 in Vienna, Austria. He trained as an artist at the School for Arts and Crafts (Kunstgewerbe Schule) and the Academy of Fine Arts (Akademie der Bildenden Kuenste) in Vienna. He received an M.F.A. from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1933. He arrived in the United States in 1938 after fleeing Nazi-occupied Austria and became a citizen in 1944.
