Abstract
Grant Hanson was born on March 14, 1911, in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, and graduated in 1933. Hanson then married in August 1941, and continued his education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He attended the library school there from 1940 until 1942.
