The Rock Island, IL subseries, 1893, 1905-1930 and undated, focuses primarily on the history of Rock Island. Included are reproductions of maps from various time periods, as well as images of significant sites--Black Hawk's village, the Sauk Council Lodge, Native American corn hills and some early settlers' residences. Also included are images of Vandruff's Island and Augustana College, among other locations.
