Abstract
Henry Reck was born near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 24 August 1829. He was ordained as a Lutheran minister in 1852 and served two congregations and two orphanages until he was called to teach at Augustana College in Paxton, Illinois, in 1871. The Henry Reck notebook contains lecture notes dealing with apologetics, Bible study, and theology in general; these notes appear to be from his time at Gettysburg Seminary.

The Rockety-I, Augustana College's yearbook, first appeared in 1912 and was published annually under the same name until the 2003-2004 school year. The Runic Honor Society of Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois, was founded in the spring of 1933 by a group of seven male students. The purpose of the society was to recognize academic achievement and service among Augustana students. Originally, membership was open only to men, but women were included in the society beginning in 1937. Charles John Sabbath was born 4 September 1930 in Muscatine, Iowa. He entered Augustana College in September 1950 as a sophomore transfer student from Muscatine Junior College. The Charles Sabbath papers date from 1949 to 1953 and measure 0.5 linear feet. The collection contains correspondence, registration materials, coursework, student life materials, and publications.

Abstract
Cora Santee was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 16 August 1916. From 1934 to 1937 she attended Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, where she sang in the Augustana Choir which was directed by Henry Veld from 1929 to1966. This collection consists of a scrapbook of Cora Santee’s experience in the Augustana College Choir, which includes programs, news clippings, cards, photographs, posters, and song lyrics.

Betsey Brodahl graduated from Augustana College in 1944. She returned to the school for a one-year appointment to teach history in 1947, but after being appointed Dean of Women that same year, she decided to remain at Augustana until her retirement in 1987.
