Scope and Contents
The Artifacts subseries, 1912-1921 and undated, consists of images of Native American pottery, arrowheads, clothing, bones, tools and other artifacts. Notable artifacts include a pipe given by Black Hawk to J.H. Case, an early resident of Rock Island, Illinois, and a belt that Black Hawk sent to Chief Alexander Robinson of the Menominee tribe.
