Scope and Contents
The Class Materials series (1979-1986 and undated) includes course materials, syllabi, tests, papers, and gradebooks used by Paulson in, or created during, the courses he taught at Augustana College. Paulson's courses covered subjects ranging from politics, philosophy, and history to poverty, women's and gender studies, and local history. This series also includes audiovisual materials such as audiocassettes, reel-to-reel audiotapes, and VHS videotapes. These materials contain personal interviews done by Oral History students on a myriad of topics, including immigration, life in the Quad Cities, and the Quad Cities chapter of the National Organization of Women and its role in the Women's Liberation Movement and second wave feminism. Also included in this series are recordings of lectures given by Paulson.
