"Pilgrimage to the Lincoln Birthplace Farm", 1907
Scope and Contents
A small booklet compiled by John Hauberg of a pilgrimage made to Abraham Lincoln's birthplace, Hodgensville, Kentucky. The booklet contains photographs taken during the trip and newspaper clippings describing the trip (originally published in the Evening Mail, Moline). Images depict the spring from which the Lincoln family got their water, a town statue of Abraham Lincoln, "the neat appearing, whitewashed log cabins of the colored folks at the edge of town, and family groups of the same," local townspeople, roads, farms, downtown buildings, and the original site of the cabin in which Lincoln was born.
