"Lincoln scenes in Kentucky", 1907
Scope and Contents
The Abraham Lincoln subseries, 1907-1931 and undated, consists of images pertaining to Lincoln's life and times. Mostly reproductions, these images include illustrations depicting Lincoln's early life, excerpts from various addresses on temperance, a copy of Lincoln's muster roll during his time as a captain in the Black Hawk War, and text and illustrations of his wrestling match with Jack Armstrong and his debate with Stephen Douglas at Knox College. There are also images of locations significant to Lincoln around the Quad Cities and near his hometown.
