 File — Mapcase: 2, Drawer: 5, Extra-Oversize Paper Folder: XOPF-385/6

Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

This subseries contains ephemera produced by or related to Augustana College and its departments. Materials primarily include programs, pamphlets, flyers, campus-wide mailings, calendars and departmental flyers and brochures. Also included in this subseries is a photograph album containing portraits of students and faculty members at Augustana College in Paxton, Illinois, around the 1870s.

Of note in this subseries are materials related to protests attended by Augustana community members, including three folders of material created by students and faculty who attended the Women's March on Washington, D.C., as well as local rallies held contemporaneously in the Quad Cities in January 2017. Materials include handmade signs, photographs, a hand decorated t-shirt, and flyers and other materials collected during the march. The march and related rallies were conducted to protest the inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States. Another folder contains signs created by Augustana students who attended a February 2017 rally in downtown Rock Island in protest of an immigration ban imposed by the Trump administration (also called the "Muslim ban").
