Scope and Contents
In 1939, the Black Hawk Hiking Club traveled west to Lincoln and Seward in Nebraska; Cheyenne and Green River in Wyoming; Salt Lake City, the Great Salt Lake Desert, Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah; Reno, Nevada; Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay, Sacramento, Berkeley, San Francisco, Treasure Island, Monterrey, Yosemite National Park, Mariposa Grove, General Grant National Park, Sequoia National Park, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Santa Catalina Island, Hollywood, and Barstow in California; Boulder Dam and Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona; and Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak in Colorado.
