Scope and Contents
Subject Files, 1860s-2000s and undated, consists of subject files on various topics of local interest. These materials may include items added by librarians or research materials or articles contributed by Special Collections patrons, Augustana alumni, or local researchers. The bulk of these papers consists of photocopied articles and newspaper clippings. Some folders contain original material. Subject files on the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln were compiled by Richard Holtman in the course of his research. Articles on local windmills and farm implement manufacturers were written by Charles L. Cornelius.
