Scope and Contents
The Augustana College and Theological Seminary Religious Organizations collection, 1884-1937, has been arranged into five series: Augustana Theological Seminary, Augustana College Bible Societies, Lutheran Brotherhood, Luther League, and Lutheran Student Association. The Augustana Theological Seminary series, 1884-1926, contains records of the Concordia Society and the Committee on the Work in the Congregations. The Augustana College Bible Societies series, 1917-1927, contains records and minutes for student Bible groups such as the Berean Bible Society, Sola Fide Bible Society, the Augustana Bible Class, and the Luther Bible Society. The Lutheran Brotherhood series, 1917-1921, contains minutes, correspondence, records, and a constiution. The Luther League series contains pamphlets and a constiution from 1935. The Lutheran Student Association series, 1925-1937, contains officer records, newsletters, membership records, and conference plans. A Membership Index is housed in a wooden box in box 6.

Custodial History
Little is known about the provenance of this collection. It was presumably assembled by the Augustana College librarians; materials may have been placed together due to the similarites among the organizations included. The minutes of the Lutheran Student Association Bible Hour were added to the collection in March 2012.
