Historical Note

Heloise Dorthea Margarite Olson (Moline) was born 22 July 1907 in Chicago, Ill. to Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Oscar Nils Olson. Dr. Olson was a professor at the Augustana Theological Seminary. Heloise enrolled at Augustana College in September 1925 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1929. During her tenure at Augustana, she was involved with the QT, or Kappa Tau, sorority; the Roosevelt Outing Club; the Berean Bible Class; the Oriole Girls'Chorus; the Handel Oratorio Society; the debate team; the Board of Social Control; the Augustana Observer; and Tau Kappa Alpha. Heloise married Rev. Ragnar Moline, a 1929 graduate of Augustana Theological Seminary, 6 June 1931 in Rock Island. Heloise died 11 January 1972 in Rockford, Illinois. Heloise and Ragnar had three sons, including Norman T. Moline, Professor of Geography at Augustana College (1968-present).

Abstract

Heloise Dorthea Margarite Olson (Moline) was an Augustana College student from September 1925 to 1929.
