Bruce R. McCart papers
Abstract
The State of Illinois Board of Higher Education was created by the General Assembly and Governor Otto Kerner in 1961 in order to plan and coordinate Illinois' system of colleges and universities. The papers in this collection were from the office of Bruce R. McCart, who was most likely a member of the board in the 1970s. Materials in the collection include plans for post-secondary education, reports on committees and public hearings, summaries of actions, faculty advisory committee papers (including notes, correspondence, and minutes), correspondence, financial information, budget recommendations, staff reports, grant information, and meeting minutes.
