Abstract

Samuel P. Peterson was a student at Augustana College. He attended the college both in Paxton, Illinois and later in Rock Island, Illinois. Peterson was a member of the Preparatory Department, and later of the college proper. This collection primarily includes books, including textbooks, literature books, and religious books. The collection also contains notebooks, diaries, news clippings, the 1873-1874 Augustana College catalogue, a booklist, loose papers, name cards, and correspondence. The materials are in Swedish, English, German, Greek, and Latin.
