Leonard Isidorus Johnson papers
Scope and Contents
The Leonard Isidorus Johnson papers, 1925-1928 and undated, contains Johnson’s handwritten class notes from Greek language classes under Professor I. M. Anderson and history classes under Professor C. W. Foss. In addition, the papers also include Johnson’s business and personal correspondence on behalf of the Roosevelt Outing Club. Correspondence concerns the club’s efforts to install a sundial on campus, and to commission plaques for servicemen affiliated with Augustana College who were killed in World War I.

Leonard Isidorus Johnson was a former student of Augustana College. Johnson graduated from Augustana in 1929 with a degree in classics. His studies at the college included Greek under the instruction of Professor Isaac Morene Anderson, and history under Professor Claude Foss.
