Scope and Contents
The Augustana College Homecoming collection, 1920-2014, is organized into three series levels.
Buttons, 1960-2000, includes buttons that were presented to students, alumni, faculty, and staff during Homecoming events.
Paper ephemera,1920-2014, contains paper materials relating to Homecoming, including programs, schedules, invitations, flyers, and one oversized poster.
Audiovisual, 1988, includes footage of homecoming activities.

Unpublished manuscripts are protected by copyright. Permission to publish, quote, or reproduce must be secured from Augustana College Special Collections and the copyright holder.

Language of Materials
Augustana College began celebrating homecoming in the early 20th Century. This celebration often involves a theme and a week of activities, leading up to the Homecoming football game. Historically, two students are elected as Vi-King and Vi-Queen and are assisted by a Homecoming court. Some events included, parades, pep rallies, concerts, talent shows, contests, walk/runs, and events for alumni. Materials in this collection include buttons, programs, tickets, schedules, newspaper clippings, invitations, and correspondence.
Upon a review of the collection, Box 2 was confirmed to be missing. The current arrangement maintains the original box numbers.

A majority of the collection has no traceable provenence or donor information.
