Augustana College Office of Communication and Marketing records
Abstract
The Office of Information Services/Communication’s name was changed from the Office of Public Relations to the Office of Information Services in January 1965. This was in order to reflect a change in purpose and services offered. The office is currently called the Office of Communication and Marketing. The office’s primary function is to disseminate information about Augustana College. The staff releases official news; places advertisements for the college in the media; publishes catalogs, reports, and newsletters; and answer any questions about the college, its students, faculty, and staff, and events taking place on the campus. Materials in this collection include news releases, weekly calendars, photograph negatives, publicity brochures, commencement tapes, and slides of Augustana-related subjects such as Old Main, the choir, the theater, and homecoming.
