Abstract

Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest academic honors society in the United States. The organization granted Augustana College a chapter in 1949. The first Phi Beta Kappa scholars at Augustana were selected in 1950. Phi Beta Kappa recognizes graduating seniors who achieve academic excellence. Materials in this collection include membership records, reports, a constitution, by-laws, newsletters, pamphlets, honorary membership materials, financial records, manuals, a roll book, correspondence, and acceptance letters.
