Abstract

The Class of 1916 was an Augustana College club founded in 1912 by members of the freshman class of the Collegiate Department. Membership was open to any student “properly enrolled in the said class and not affiliated with any other class.” The Class of 1916 notebook, 1912-1916, contains evidence of the inner workings of the organization, including its constitution, minutes, and membership.

Abstract The Inter-Sorority Council was founded in the fall of 1929 as the governing body of the Augustana College sororities. The council, at the time of its founding, consisted of two officers, a President and a Secretary-Treasurer; two representatives of each of the sororities; two faculty members; and the current Dean of Women.
