By 1996, the group had revised its mission as being to: "locate, gather, preserve, and publish literary materials bearing on the history of Augustana College, on the relationships of the college to the Lutheran Church, on the history of Swedish immigration to the United States, and on cultural connections between the United States and Sweden."...

Abstract
Paul G. Finnman was a former student of Augustana College. Finnman was originally from Nebraska, and graduated as a member of the class of 1939. He composed the words and music for "Alma Mater," a song for Augustana College in 1937, as well as several other pieces for fraternities. Finnman often accompanied students in recitals and performances. Abstract
Ira O. Nothstein served as the head librarian and archivist for Augustana College from 1918 to 1959. He was ordained by the Augustana Lutheran Church in Philadelphia after graduating from Mount Airy Lutheran Theological Seminary. Later, in 1928, Nothstein was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Muhlenberg College. He also wrote a children's book entitled Sylvia of the Birches. The Ira O.
