Ander, O. Fritiof (Oscar Fritiof), 1903-1978

Abstract Oscar Fritiof Ander was born in Gendalen, Sweden in 1903, and later immigrated to the United States in 1921. He attended Augustana College, and graduated in 1926 with his bachelor’s degree. Ander returned to teach History at the college in 1930 and became the head of the department in 1935. He was a member of several historical societies, including the Augustana Historical Society and the Mississippi Valley Historical Association.
