The local events subseries includes posters advertising plays, exhibits, presentations, festivals, and circus performances in the Quad Cities. Of note in this subseries is a number of printed, hand illustrated circulars sent to members of the Rock Island Elks Lodge. These circulars, primarily designed by a member named "Monte," contain cartoons, illustrations, and typewritten elements, and largely serve as announcements of upcoming events for lodge members.
