Discrete oversize items, circa 15th century-2016 and undated, contains oversize flat items, rolled items, and framed items primarily relating to Augustana College and local history. Materials include maps, posters, book and manuscript pages, newsclippings, subject files, portraits, photographs, art prints, building sketches, and advertisements. These items have been arranged into three series: Augustana College, 1886-2014 and undated, local history, 1845-2009 and undated, and other papers, circa 15th century-circa 2000s and undated.

Materials include maps, posters, book and manuscript pages, newsclippings, subject files, portraits, photographs, art prints, building sketches, and advertisements. The items in this collection were collected by Special Collections staff over a period of several decades. Materials largely relate to Augustana College and the Quad Cities area/Midwest region, but also included are some internationally significant items, probably removed from Special Collections books.
Arrangement
Like materials have been grouped together into three series. Materials have further been arranged into subseries, with folders usually arranged in alphabetical order within subseries. Materials within folders are arranged chronologically, with undated items at the back of the folder.
Custodial History
Materials in this collection have been described together to facilitate access; however, the items themselves existed separately from each other prior to the creation of this finding aid. In Summer 2016, an inventory of Special Collections' oversize items (which had previously been separated from their parent collections or existed with no provenance whatsoever) led to materials being reintegrated with their parent collections when possible. Orphan items discovered during this inventory have been grouped together and described here.
