In 1941, the Black Hawk Hiking Club trekked northward to Bismarck, North Dakota; Glacier National Park, Idaho; Kootenay National Park, Marble Canyon, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Athabaska Glacier, Sunwapta Falls, Athabaska Falls, Yoho National Park, and Banff in British Columbia; Mt. Edith Cavell and Angel Glacier, Jasper National Park, and Calgary in Alberta.
