In 1941, the Black Hawk Hiking Club trekked northward to Bismarck, North Dakota; Glacier National Park, Idaho; Kootenay National Park, Marble Canyon, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Athabaska Glacier, Sunwapta Falls, Athabaska Falls, Yoho National Park, and Banff in British Columbia; Mt. Edith Cavell and Angel Glacier, Jasper National Park, and Calgary in Alberta.

For their 23rd Big Hike, members of the Black Hawk Hiking Club toured Colorado, visiting such places as Big Thompson Canyon, Loch Vale, Glacier Basin, Trail Ridge Road, Milner Pass, Long's Peak, Odessa Lake, Copeland Falls, Oezel Lake, Thunder Lake, Red Rock Lake, Brainard, and Central City.
