Historical Note
Herbert L. Glynn was a former student and administrator for Augustana College. Glynn graduated from the College with his BA in 1926. He returned to Augustana in 1944 as the director of administrations. Glynn also held posts as the director of admissions and records, the director of field services, assistant to the president, financial aid officer, director of non-academic public events, and research associate. In his role as a research associate (which the papers in this collection pertain to), Glynn conducted historical research in scholarship programs and alumni records.

Abstract
Herbert L. Glynn was a former student and administrator for Augustana College. Glynn graduated from the College with his BA in 1926. This collection contains Glynn's correspondence, 1969-1974, relating to scholarships, endowments, and other funds at Augustana.

Custodial History
This collection was originally housed as part of a larger collection of correspondence related to Augustana College (MSS 239 Augustana College correspondence). In May 2016, this collection was separated and materials added to their creators' existing parent collections. The Herbert Glynn correspondence was the only portion of the collection for which no parent collection existed. Therefore, MSS 239 was renamed the Herbert L. Glynn correspondence to better reflect its contents.
