David Carlson postcard collection
Abstract
David Carlson attended Augustana College in the early 1970s. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology, and went on to earn his doctorate in Oceanography from the University of Maine, Orono, Maine, in 1981. He became a professor at the College of Oceanography at Oregon State University from 1983 to 1990. Carlson also directed the Atmospheric Technology Division within the National Center for Atmospheric Research from 1994 until 2003. The collection consists of Carlson’s collection of postcards. Some highlights of the collection include postcards of the Quad Cities area and baseball parks.
