        Karl Yost was born on February 11, 1911 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Lloyd and Gertrude (Morgan) Yost. He earned his doctorate of jurisdiction from Northwestern University in 1934. He became a well-known Charles M. Russell expert, and published two bibliographies of his works. Yost also published several reprints of rare Americana.         Sven Gustaf Youngert immigrated to the United States from Sweden in 1886 at the age of 25.
