Abstract Olof Nelson Glim was born 15 December 1865 in Glimakra, Skane, Sweden. He emigrated to the United States in 1882. He received his B. A. (1893) and B. D. (1900) from Augustana College and Theological Seminary. He was ordained in St. Paul, Minnesota, as a Lutheran Minister in 1899. Abstract Carl Otto Granere was born 27 September 1844 in Småland, Sweden. He graduated from Stockholm in 1870 and traveled to Augustana College in Paxton, Illinois, that same year. From 1872 to 1876 he was a professor of Latin and Swedish and assistant instructor in Church History and Doctrinal Theology at the College. Abstract John Henry Hauberg was a businessman, philanthropist, civic organizer, researcher, and photographer active in Rock Island and the Quad Cities area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Hauberg and his wife, Susanne Denkmann Hauberg, were very active in the Quad Cities community, serving on many advisory boards and organizing dozens of philanthropic initiatives. Iduna Society records

The Iduna Society was founded 21 November 1902 and disbanded in the academic year 1925-1926. It was one of five Augustana College societies dedicated to the further exploration of the Swedish language through Swedish literature. The Iduna Society records, 1907-1922 and undated, contains three handwritten copies of the group's monthly publication, "Iduna," in Swedish, a bound book of meeting minutes in Swedish, and several miscellaneous documents in both English and Swedish.

Abstract The Indian trade ledgers collection, 1819-1979 (bulk 1819-1935), primarily includes eight original and two photocopied ledgers recording trade relations between settlers and Indigenous groups in the Upper Mississippi Valley. The trade ledgers list merchandise traded by Native Americans and settlers, such as food, work tools, and animals. Abstract The Jenny Lind Chapel was the first house of worship built by and for a Swedish Lutheran congregation in Andover, Illinois. Pastor Lars Esbjörn and ten Swedish settlers founded the congregation in the fall of 1850. The chapel still stands and holds services as of 2016.
