Overview Ephraim Manning was born December 31, 1908 in Uitca, New York. He married Louise Nascher on September 12, 1937. Manning graduated from City College, received a master’s in bacteriology from New York University, and attended medical school in Zurich, Switzerland. Manning worked as an eye, nose, and throat physician in Davenport, Iowa, from 1949 until 1993.
