Abstract

The Augustana College Class of 1968 collection, 1964-1970, 2018, includes an assortment of 1960s print ephemera brought by the class of 1968 members to their 50th anniversary reunion. Additional items include photographs as well as a flag flown over the the U.S. Capitol Building in honor of the 50th anniversary of the graduation of the Augustana College class of 1968.

Abstract The Augustana College Special Collections local history collection was compiled over the course of several decades by Special Collections staff. These materials, primarily ephemeral in nature, document the history of the Quad Cities, Illinois, Iowa, and the surrounding states. Abstract

Richard V. Lohrens is a former student of Augustana College. Lohrens was a member of the military in World War II. He enrolled in Augustana College in 1949. Lohrens joined the Phi Omega Phi (or “Pops”) fraternity the same year. Lohrens graduated as a member of the class of 1953. This slide collection documents the 1965 flood of the Mississippi River in Davenport. There are descriptions on the back of each slide.
