The Augustana College Class of 1968 collection, 1964-1970, 2018, includes an assortment of 1960s print ephemera brought by the class of 1968 members to their 50th anniversary reunion. The print ephemera is mostly related to Augustana College activities, events, and organizations. Additional items include photographs as well as a flag flown over the the U.S. Capitol Building in honor of the 50th anniversary of the graduation of the Augustana College class of 1968.

Biographical / Historical

Members from the 1968 graduating class of Augustana College experienced a series of local and national events in the 1960s. In particular, students within the class received national and international attention for sandbagging and assisting the Red Cross during the 1965 Mississippi River flood. The class of 1968 celebrated their 50th anniversary in October 2018.
