Abstract
Carl Otto Granere was born 27 September 1844 in Småland, Sweden. He graduated from Stockholm in 1870 and traveled to Augustana College in Paxton, Illinois, that same year. From 1872 to 1876 he was a professor of Latin and Swedish and assistant instructor in Church History and Doctrinal Theology at the College. He received his Ph.D. in 1898 and was appointed librarian of the college. Granere continued his duties as college librarian until his resignation in 1913. He lived to be the oldest of...
