The Rockety-I, Augustana College's yearbook, first appeared in 1912 and was published annually under the same name until the 2003-2004 school year. Abstract Betsey Brodahl graduated from Augustana College in 1944. She returned to the school for a one-year appointment to teach history in 1947, but after being appointed Dean of Women that same year, she decided to remain at Augustana until her retirement in 1987. Abstract Clarence Woodrow Sorensen, the sixth president of Augustana College, was born in Nebraska in 1907. He studied and traveled all over the world, producing fifteen books about his geographical studies, before coming to Augustana College. Sorensen assumed the presidency in 1962, and became the first Augustana College president who was not ordained before or during his term.
