Overview Elfriede Leschewski Beyer was a German immigrant, a member of the Black Hawk Hiking Club, and an award-winning artist active in the Rock Island area in the mid-twentieth century. The Elfriede Beyer papers, 1927-1989 and undated, contains two of Beyer's sketchbooks, Beyer's obituary, and personal notes removed from the sketchbooks.
