Abstract Jonathan B. Spencer was born in 1795 in Vermont. Though never a resident of the Quad Cities, he bought and sold land in the area in the early 19th century. A local connection for Jonathan was his cousin, Roswell H. Spencer, who resided in the area and also dealt in land. Jonathan B. Spencer died in Moriah, New York in 1874.Richard P.
