Abstract
John Henry Hauberg was a prolific researcher and photographer active in the Quad Cities area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The John Henry Hauberg glass plate images, 1880-1947 and undated, contains roughly 8,000 glass plate images photographed by John Hauberg over the course of his life.

Abstract
John Henry Hauberg was a businessman, philanthropist, civic organizer, researcher, and photographer active in Rock Island and the Quad Cities area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Hauberg and his wife, Susanne Denkmann Hauberg, were very active in the Quad Cities community, serving on many advisory boards and organizing dozens of philanthropic initiatives. Abstract
Ephraim and Louise Manning were interested in participating in the Quad Cities community and its history. They were members of groups such as the Black Hawk Hiking Club, Friendship Force of the Quad Cities, and Viewfinders Camera Club. Materials in the collection include newspaper clippings on local history and historic homes, world affairs, local news, and medical news; photos, slides, scrapbook pages, and cassette tapes.
