Historical Note
The Kappa Epsilon sorority, nicknamed the “Keys”, was founded in 1913 at Augustana College as a secret society by six young women. Originally, the group went by “Qui Est Qui”, which is Latin for “Who’s Who”, but changed its name to Kappa Epsilon when it became an official sorority in 1919. Sorority membership declined throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, and the group ultimately chose to give up their charter in the mid-1990s.
