Scope and Contents
The Chi Alpha Pi records, 1976-2017 and undated, is organized into two series. Realia and Memorabilia, 1976-2017 and undated, includes family tree binders, pledge books and paddles, a t-shirt with members' signatures, as well as general ephemera and sorority realia. Photographs, 2005-2014, consists of sorority scrapbooks, composites, and group photographs.

Biographical / Historical
The Chi Alpha Pi sorority was officially recognized on March 24th, 1976. Nicknamed the "CAPs", the sorority's purpose is to promote social activities among members and between other organizations, both on the campus of Augustana College and in the local community.
