Abstract Olof Zakarias Cervin graduated from Augustana College in 1887 and went on to study architecture at Columbia University. After working as an architect in various cities, Olof returned to Rock Island and established his own architecture firm on 1 April 1896. Cervin designed several buildings in Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline, Illinois, including schools, churches, and factories. Kahlke Bros. Boatyard records

Abstract

John and Peter Kahlke, two brothers born in Germany, opened the Kahlke Bros. Boatyard in Rock Island, Illinois in 1868. The business, which focused on building and repairing wooden boats of various types, was well known throughout the United States for its high quality work. In 1924, the boatyard was passed on to Peter's sons, Fred and Ed. The Kahlke Bros. Boatyard records include correspondence and other records related to the management of the business.

Carl J. Peterson papers

Abstract

Carl J. Peterson was the construction foreman for the contractors who built Wallberg Hall on the Augustana College campus in 1934. He was also the designer and architect of the Augustana College Bell Tower. The Carl J. Peterson papers, 1921-1936, contains materials on three projects with which Peterson was affiliated: the Augustana College bell tower, the class of 1936 bulletin board, and the lowering of Zion Hill.
