Abstract
The Palmquist family papers, 1907-1983 and undated, includes postcards, class notebooks, correspondence and reproductions of photographs.The bulk of the materials in the collection focuses on Wilbur Palmquist, a minister and Augustana College alumnus. The Palmquist family owned a farm in Lawton, Iowa, and this is where Wilbur spent his time when he was not at Augustana College.

Dr. Ross E. Paulson was a history professor at Augustana College from 1962 to 1995. He specialized in American and European intellectual history, historiography, and interdisciplinary studies. Ethel Elvera Pearson attended Augustana College from 1918 to 1922. A graduate of Davenport High School, she majored in biological science at Augustana. Victor R. Pearson was a student and professor of Augustana College. Pearson was born in Nebraska in 1892. He was a member of the Augustana College class of 1915 and the Augustana Seminary class of 1917. He served in World War I as an infantry chaplain. Pearson returned to Augustana and earned his doctorate from the seminary in 1924. He returned to Augustana College to teach religion and philosophy in 1935, from which he retired in 1960. Carl J. Peterson was the construction foreman for the contractors who built Wallberg Hall on the Augustana College campus in 1934. He was also the designer and architect of the Augustana College Bell Tower. The Carl J. Peterson papers, 1921-1936, contains materials on three projects with which Peterson was affiliated: the Augustana College bell tower, the class of 1936 bulletin board, and the lowering of Zion Hill.
