Ratcliffe collection of railroad photographs and clippings contains newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, historical outlines, and published material regarding trolleys and electric train transportation.
Augustana College Special Collections realia collection
The Augustana College Special Collections realia collection, 1856-2013 and undated (bulk 1900-2005), contains artifacts (also known as realia) related to Augustana College, the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois, and other subjects. Materials include souvenirs, keepsakes, memorabilia, and other objects, including buttons and pins, trophies, stickers, clothing, coins, banners and signage, stamps, medals, drinkware, and flags.
Henry Reck notebook
Henry Reck was born near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 24 August 1829. He was ordained as a Lutheran minister in 1852 and served two congregations and two orphanages until he was called to teach at Augustana College in Paxton, Illinois, in 1871. The Henry Reck notebook contains lecture notes dealing with apologetics, Bible study, and theology in general; these notes appear to be from his time at Gettysburg Seminary.
Rho Nu Delta records
The Rho Nu Delta fraternity, also known as the “Roundels” was founded January 22nd, 1925 with the purpose of promoting good fellowship, of fostering high scholarship, of increasing interest in higher education, and of supporting the college in all its activities. The group did not exist for a number of years, but was refounded in 2009. This collection consists of the Rondel constitution, as well as a membership certificate.
Rock Island Junior Woman's Club records
The Rock Island Junior Woman’s Club was founded in 1939 and incorporated in 1971. The Rock Island Junior Woman’s Club records, circa 1930s-2000s, contains membership records, meeting minutes, financial records, scrapbooks, yearbooks, and publications created by the Junior Woman’s Club. The collection was originally stored in the Hauberg Civic Center.
