Abstract

Bernard Y. Wickstrom was a student at Augustana College from 1947 until 1950. He was an editor for the Augustana Observer, president of the Augustana chapter of the Alpha Delta Journalistic Fraternity, and a "Poobah." The Bernard Wickstrom papers, 1948-1950 and undated, contains photographs, clippings, and artwork, largely related to Wickstrom's membership in the Phi Omega Phi (POP) fraternity.

Abstract

The Women’s Rights Symposium, entitled “Women’s Liberation: Who Needs It?”, was held on 3 February 1973 in Centennial Hall at Augustana College. The Women’s Rights Symposium collection, 1972-1973, consists of two items: a mug commemorating the event, and a scrapbook which contains newspaper coverage, promotional material, guest speaker contracts, and correspondence received by organizer Lori Spencer (née Hess).

Miriam Zwicker scrapbook

Abstract Miriam May Zwicker was born in Rock Island, Illinois, in 1915. She attended Rock Island High School and graduated in 1933. She then enrolled at Augustana College, which she attended from 1934 until her graduation in 1938, and majored in German. The Miriam Zwicker scrapbook, 1935-1960, contains newspaper clippings, programs, notecards, invitations, and Augustana Bulletins.
