Augustana College Campus Church records
The Augustana College Campus Church records contain materials on the religious activities of the campus. Augustana Campus Church was a student, faculty, and family congregation of the Lutheran Church in America (LCA). IT was led by Pastor Richard Swanson. In 1983 the campus church was replaced with a more contemporary campus ministries structure. The collection includes reports, minutes, bulletins, programs, announcements, news clippings, and an article about campus ministry.
Augustana College charter and constitutions
Augustana College was founded by Swedish Lutherans in Chicago as Augustana Theological Seminary in 1860. The Augustana College charter and constitutions contains 1869 charter as well as several stages of the constitution.

Augustana College Class of 1968 collection
The Augustana College Class of 1968 collection, 1964-1970, 2018, includes an assortment of 1960s print ephemera brought by the class of 1968 members to their 50th anniversary reunion. Additional items include photographs as well as a flag flown over the the U.S. Capitol Building in honor of the 50th anniversary of the graduation of the Augustana College class of 1968.
Collection on the Augustana College Community Engagement Center
The Community Engagement Center was founded to give students assistance in connecting vocational passions with academic interests. The proposal narrative explains the purpose of this department as a career center, a center to faith development, and student community connection. Materials housed in this collection document student volunteer hours from 2011-2012, program reports, and the proposal and original budget narrative for the Community Engagement Center.
Augustana College Conservatory of Music records
The Conservatory of Music was established in 1886 as a part of Augustana College and Theological Seminary with its own board of trustees. The conservatory instructed students in the areas of voice, piano, stringed instruments, and brass instruments. The collection includes programs, posters, brochures, announcements, invitations, tickets, bulletins, correspondence, and faculty minutes.
Augustana College Convocation Committee records
Augustana College’s convocation series was designed to bring speakers to Augustan College. Convocations were open to the public, and all students, faculty, and staff were encouraged to attend. Some convocations coordinated with the first-year liberal studies program, and were mandatory for first-year students. This collection includes biographical materials on convocation speakers, financial records, and correspondedce.

This collection contains over one hundred years of documents from Augustana College’s numerous debate organizations dating back to 1889. Contained in this collection are minutes, secretaries’ books, club constitutions, executive committee notes, correspondences, financial records, annual reports, programs and tickets, printed matter, trophies, and plaques dating from 1889 until 1991.
