Abstract
Thomas W. Sims received his bachelor's degree in English at Augustana College in 1936. He served overseas in the Army during World War II in the ordnance department. Abstract
Carl Enoch Slätt was a student at Augustana College and a pastor in the Augustana Synod. Slätt was born in Sweden in 1865, and immigrated to the United States in 1891. He was a member of the Augustana College class of 1896, and attended the Augustana Seminary from 1892-1894. He then went on to lead several churches in the Quad Cities area. Slätt died in 1950. His papers include two small notebooks of sermons.

Abstract
Clarence Woodrow Sorensen, the sixth president of Augustana College, was born in Nebraska in 1907. He studied and traveled all over the world, producing fifteen books about his geographical studies, before coming to Augustana College. Sorensen assumed the presidency in 1962, and became the first Augustana College president who was not ordained before or during his term. Abstract
Jesse E. Spencer was a resident of Rock Island, Illinois, who collected books mainly between the years of 1910 and 1930. His private collection contained roughly 3800 volumes, and was purchased from the Millicent Spencer estate by Augustana College in 1949. The books were transferred to the college by the Van Norman Book Company of Galesburg. Abstract
Jonathan B. Spencer lived in Essex County, New York, in the first half of the nineteenth century, and bought and sold land in the Quad City area. Richard P. Hart also bought and sold land in the area in the 1840s and 1850s. Materials in this collection include financial records, correspondence, and notes concerning the buying and selling of land around the Quad City area after the Black Hawk War, as well as photocopies of the original documents.

Henry F. Staack was a former history professor of Augustana College. Staack came to the college in 1927 as an assistant history professor, was promoted to associate professor in 1935 and resigned in 1958. His papers include personal correspondence, correspondence and papers relating to societies Staack belonged to, a photograph, postcards, personal books, and pamphlets on a variety of religious and historical subjects.

Richard “Dick” Stahl is an alumnus of Augustana College, class of 1963, and poet. He served as the first poet laureate of the Quad Cities from 2001 to 2003. The Dick Stahl papers contains two scrapbooks of poetry created by Dick Stahl. These scrapbooks were inspired by construction projects on Augustana's campus in the early 2010s.

Flavius J. Sten was born in St. Helens, Oregon. He attended the Augustana Academy for high school until 1911, when he entered Augustana College. He was involved in many organizations during his college career, most notably the basketball program. Gustav Stolpe (1833-1901) was a well-known and successful Swedish musician and composer by the time Augustana College invited him to direct its music program in 1882. Stolpe graduated from Stockholm, Sweden’s Royal Conservatory of Music with a degree of Music Director at the age of 22.
